They compared the different civilizations with their own to determine different attitudes and beliefs. To improve their comprehen- sion skills, Japanese and French movies were viewed. Sponsored by the University of California at Los Angeles, the AHS English Department was invited to participate in this new experimental program. In service work- shops on behavioral objectives and indi- vidualized instruction in conjunction with Project PROBE were conducted and definite positive results were envisioned by the English Department members.
