Grace Okura Gail Kamihara PreSldCl1I Vice-President or , at , , i , f, , Joan Tsuda Mimi Kurokawa Secretary Treasurer Chauntrays Sharing a memorable and eventl'ul year together, the Chauntrays functioned asa service and social club under the guidance ol' advisors Sandy Matsuda and Audrey Hamainoto. Last summer, the club sponsored a seed sale and a car wash. Dances, picnics, parties, and simple get- togethers at homes ol' the various members high- lighted the club's social calendar. Through these functions, the members were able to meet and socialize with people. On August 29, a most memo- rable event was enjoyed by all members. This fun-filled event was the slumber party at the Princess Kaiulani Hotel and the attendance at the late evening show ofthe Society ol' Seven. During the months ol' October through December, the club was busily occupied with various money- making projects such as a public dance, Make It With You, at the Ala Wai Clubhouse. The long awaited climax ol' the year, a banquet, Our Winter Love, was held on December 26, l97O, at the Ala Moana Hotel. Patti Secio limbs Les Akita Pat Yamamoto Selma lha President Vice-President Secretary Treasurer Gifts of Time Sharing the joys, the frustrations, and the anxiety of club life, the Gifts of Time enjoyed a most unforgetable year. Although its mem- bers branched out from Aiea to Waipahu, a closeness of friendship existed among the members as they worked together in canying out the many activities of the club. Highlight of the year, the banquet, Here Is Happiness, was held jointly with the Les Joniques. A great time was had by all that the banquet theme proved to be most appro- priate. Les Shantes Consisting of fourteen young and vi- brant Junior girls, the Les Shantes par- ticipated in many service projects such as collecting money for UNICEF and the Salvation Army. Socials and picnics helped the club fulfill one of its organizational purposes of meeting new people in new places.
