Class of ' Registration officially admitted the Class of '74 to a new career. . . high school. This first year proved to be a period of adjustment to the many challenges of high school life. Good sportsmanship was displayed at the Freshmen Initiation as officers crawled under the Windmill , splattered their faces in the pie-eating contest and became drenched by water balloons. Struggling with new class schedules, the bell system and finding assigned classes painted a picture of the typical Frosh. Entering their float Skunk the Mules along with the others proved to the Upperclassmen that they too had the Alii spirit. Participating in many service projects, assemblies, and activities helped them adjust to the routine of school. Throughout the year they accepted new ideals, made new friends, and met challenges with energy far beyond expectancy. Overcoming obstacles, which Freshmen usually endure, they prepared for the following year when they return to become Swinging Sophmores.
