Rvt QJUf ul Your staff is happy to present for your approval and pleasure this pictorial record of life for each class as it was at Ahoskie High School in 1964-65. We have tried to convey, both in letter and spirit, the many and varied activities which make up our school life. The poem below, written by Wesley Sumner, presents in verse the faculty’s and each class’s impressions of life at our school. We see you come, we’ll see you go. As your future will be, our work will have been. Knowledge and fruitful lives we hope you will have. The spirit of our school - what could take its place? For us students, all is not work; all is not play. We have fun with more than books. Pep rallies, ball games, special projects. All a big part of Ahoskie High School. We are the students; we love our school, and share its traditions . . . Rising for seniors, daily devotions, the trophy case, our school shield . . . We will be ready for what the morrow may hold. A few more days, we will be gone . . . Our memories, only Indian lore and still, we can’t forget The crowded halls, the fountain, our annual, that special friend. Coming graduation, our past work - These will remain with us through all the future years. One year left at AHS. We’ve had a year of fun, Our junior-senior, our new class rings, that first school trip. Tomorrow we will be seniors. This was a year of firsts and of happy moments. Our Beta tapping, that first big game, a driver’s license, service projects, Have shaped this year. But onward we climb, to greater heights, as juniors! Almost sophomores, thank Heaven for that! We made our impression in this first year. There’s much to face in the three years ahead. Our hopes are high; our faith is strong.
