PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE Rich man, poor man, peddler, tinker , chanted Mary one day as she plucked the petals, one by one, from a daisy. Mary was using an age old superstitious method of trying to gain an advanced look at her future husband. High school boys and girls are peering into the future wondering what lies ahead. However, unlike Mary, they are taking a realistic attitude. Most of them have some vague ideas about what they would like to be, and the effects their professions will have upon their lives. Every- one wants to feel within themselves a satisfying blend of direction, security and adventure. If on reaches a goal in which all three qualities are realized he is extremely fortunate. Very few people are completely satisfied in his or her occupation. Therefore, it is of great importance that boys and girls take advantage of every opportunity at their disposal to acquaint themselves with the many available careers. The list is long and varied and the vast majority of high school students are undecided. Therefore, our schools must attempt to turn out graduates fitted to pursue the various professions. Along with the 3 R's boys and girls must acquire reason, enterprise, discipline, imagination, tolerance, freedom and faith. The, when our youth marches for- ward with characteristics such as these we need not hesitate to entrust the progress and safety of our nation into their hands.
