To our dear old school building itself, we leave the peaceful quiet caused by our absence and any apple cores, wads of gum, or crumpled notes we may have left about. To our principal we give and bequeath a sense of relief that we have at last been graduated pleasant memories of our four years together, and a feeling of pride in any great deeds of note- worthy achievements that our future may contain, realizing that such glories--if any--will owe much to his example and counsel. To our teachers, the faculty of the Agricola High School, we pat oa our valuable sense of humor, without which we should have found school life painful indeed and which will do much to make it endurable for them. Also to our teachers, we give and bequeath our very kindest regards and our sincere grati- tude for their unfailing kindness and aid. We give and bequeath, freely and without reservations or stipulations, to the Junior Class our rightful heirs, our self-satisfaction, our importance, and our wisdom, all of which we possess in enormous quantities, and we hope said gifts will be of use in overcoming their present inertia. Also to the Junior Class, we leave our good luck. It made us what we are today, and should satisfy them. To our good friends, the Sophomore Class, we leave our patience. It will be found useful as the only means by which they can endure the Juniors. To the young and unsophisticated Freshman we leave a map of the school building, so that they will not get lost and roam about in everybody's way looking for their classrooms. To next year's class president we leave--with grave doubts as to his ability to use it--the winning ways of our president, Evelyn Morgan, which enabled her to overcome all opposition and to prevent others from knowing opposition existed. Also, we leave her ability to keep on good terms with the faculty and still do as she pleases; in other words, her executive ability. To the undergraduate needing it most, we give Loretta Griffin's supply of language, which will enable the recipient to talk more and say less than any other human being. Also, to the undergraduate who is most in danger of not passing next year, we bequeath Bet ty Gunter's store of information, which will make it easy for him to pass any test in any subject, at any time. To the over-ambitious undergraduate--if such there be--we leave the perfect indolence of Charles Gainey. Some people sit and waste time. Charles just sits. To the laziest member of the Senior Class-to-be, we bequeath Hubie West's ambition. If it is combined with the laziness previously mentioned, the result will be normal activity. 42 Closs Will (Continued) To the Junior Class we give, reluctantly but of necessity, our mantle of dignity. We realize that the class can never fill it, but, since it is expected of them, our advice is Grin and wear it. Besides these bequests we leave our best wishes to any and all who may desire them. Finally, we do hereby name and appoint as the executors of this our last will and testa- ment, our class advisors, Mr. McMullan and Mrs. Loftin. In witness whereof we, the class of 1958, the testator, have set our hand and seal on this 24th day of April in the year of 1958. Class Prophecy As my train drifted into the station, the lonely sound of the train whistle made me think of the old school days of 1957-58 back at Agricola. As | stepped from the train, | heard a famil- iar voice crying, Hot Dogs Come and Get 'em. Lo and behold! there was Florine Spooner pushing a little cart and selling hot dogs for a living. Talking with Florine, | found that Betty Gunter is a co-worker selling pop corn on another street corner. Well, you know how talk gets around, so | soon found the rest of the class of 1958 is en- gaged in a business of some kind. For instance, Clyde Rogers is a retired magician living lavishly on $2.50 a week from welfare. Well, Dennis Christian finally became engaged. It was such a trial. There were so many girl friends he couldn't decide who had the most money. , Robert Earl Churchwell, well--that boy went places! He is now vice-president of a fish actory. Roger Tolbert is a great wrestler. He used Baby Blimp as his model and came out on the side (of his suit) that is. Wilbur Davis and Bobby Lee Howell decided to go to the city to work. Wilbur is chief officer for the dog pound and Bobby Lee is garbage carrier. Bonnie Neel and Carolyn Ward are Hula Dancers for a large firm operated by Ralph Goff. Alice Bonnett is operating a home for aged veterans hoping maybe she would finally win aman. Dwain Hudson is another Art Linkletter----Why, T.V. fans even call him Art's twin. Shirley Baker is confortable settled in her lovely home in Cuss Forks with her curly- headed husband Jerry Vise and her twelve children. Loretta Griffin has become very popular in her musical career. She now plays in the Hit or Miss Orchestra. 43 Edward Jones has become a Doctor of Medicine--Horse Medicine that is. Austin Jones, with his golden-throated voice, is now a singer for television and radio and has become known as Elvis Presley No 2. Now Hubie West, can you imagine, a quiet boy like that becoming President of the Unite States and running a farm in cowboy fashion. Would you have ever thought that Charles Gainey could beat the Russians at their own game. He's even created a greater Sputnik--What can we expect next? Mae Galloway--Can you imagine her becoming a nurse for a veterinarian? She always loved animals. Margie Holland is just out of this world. She rides the Sputnik which Charles Gainey created. S Remember W.M. Pierce, well he is the owner and operator of the Wash Em and Wear Em Diaper Service. As he has ten babies of his own he thinks it's more economical. We find Evelyn Morgan a great actress in Hollywood. She's making her first appearance at the age of 50 years. Maxine Overstreet is sole owner and operator of an orphanage for stray cats. Her business is growing steadily. | found Henry T. and Billy Jean James are the owners of a huge chain of resturants known all over the word as the Eat and Run Resturants.
