is Have You Tried Visine? ! BLURRED VISION I ' m so confused. I think I picked the wrong major. How can I concentrate on Latin when all I can think about is love? You know, maybe I should give it all up and become a housewife. But then, I ' d have to learn how to cook. Mo, on second thought, that ' s not such a good idea. I changed dorms this year, from Winship to Rebekah, and now every morning at 5:00 I am awakened by clangs and smashes. Honestly, I ' m going to have a nervous breakdown. I mean, when I think of all I ' m going through this year — I have to start planning a career: try to find a man and go to class all at the same time. I can ' t take it. Let me tell you, the fifth time in my life at Agnes Scott that I lose my key is a little much. And another thing — do you know how tired I am of dining hall green beans? What am I going to do — I just can ' t see straight. It ' s getting so bad, I ' m looking forward to senioritis! Anything but this! What lies ahead? How will I cope? Is it this hectic junior year that blurs my vision ... or was it last night ' s party?

No Reruns This Season, Please THE END IS IN SIGHT Freshman year at Agnes Scott Study hard, shag a lot Yell hot water when you flush, AND SOMEDAY YOU WILL BE LIKE US!! Black Cat Song Class of 1982 Look ahead, freshmen! In four short years you will be just like us. SENIORS. Finally the end is in sight ... or is it? Senioritis hits the campus like the Hong Kong flu. If you were to hang around Main and Rebekah and listen to the seniors, you might hear pieces of conversation like these: My feet are beating an automatic path to the CPO office ... I overslept my eight-thirty class ... I don ' t want to study Econ.; I ' d rather watch ' General Hospital ' . . I ' m hungry . . . Do I really have to write a resume? . . I got my first ' flush letter ' today . . . So I flushed it! ... I overslept for my eight thirty again . . . Oh, no! I took the entire LSAT with a 3 pencil! . . . What in the heck IS a resume? It seems as if graduation will never get here. But even that will be too soon! But in spite of everything, our senior year is still the best. The class ring feels as familiar to your hand as if you were born with it. Black Cat has never been so much fun . . . harassing the freshmen in Winship and then retiring to the peace and quiet in Main . . . winning the Black Kitty one last time. Finding new excitement in our studies we did pick the right majors after all! . . . the satisfaction of completing an independent study or senior seminar, and knowing you did it well. Marching together in convocation . . . knowing God of the Marching Centuries backwards . . the grand old traditions of Investiture and Capping come alive, and your class is united by a feeling of closeness greater than ever before. Four long years . . . we ' re the tired old seniors, the survivors, a class apart. The end is in sight now . . . and a new beginning! 11
