PRO MERITO The New England Pro Merito Society honor is given to those students who have maintained an eighty-five or better average in all their subjects for four years. In addition to the convention at which they arc honored, they arc given an extra set of books, a permanent pass to go to the library or leave a study room, a life-time membership in the Pro Merito Society, gold tassels at graduation, and gold Pro Merito pins. This year the members attended the convention at North- ampton High School where all the surrounding schools met for their annual meeting. Twenty of the twenty- three members represented Agawam at the convention. They all had a very enjoyable afternoon and evening.
