 Dragon cheerleaders spark A.H.S. with spirit Throughout the 1970-71 season the Dragon cheerleaders displayed true pep and enthusiasm. Not only did they rouse spirit in the students and faculty, but fans from two to ninety-two cheered along. With the baching of their advisor Mr. Ron Linder, some of the new and invigorat- ing cheers helped in adding the spirit to the school. The A team cheerleaders who lead the roar of spirit during the varsity football and basketball games, shown BELOW, were Marcia Brunk, Connie Mueller, Mary Eick- hoff, Mary Klein, Audrey Wick, and Cheryl Klooster. The B-team cheerleaders are shown at TOP RIGHT: Donna Scheidt, Bev Klein, Nadine Schissel, Kathy Mc- Carthy, Pat Schutz, and Colleen McKeown. Mr. Lindner is shown at RIGHT as he directs Mary. Wrestling cheerleaders are shown ABOVE: Jackie Pietrich, Mary Lais, Becky Raley. Not pictured are the coach, John Stenke, and M. McKeown. The two guys that went on to regionals were C. Bolt and M. McKeown. ABOVE: Ed hurls the discus into the air. The AHS Tracksters did a fine job of doing their thing at the Dragon Relays, District and at the Trojan Relays in Worthington. They had two of their boys going on to the regionals from the district and both were seniors. The mighty Dragon track team did their best to out do all of the other schools in this area. They proved that they had what it takes to run, jump and throw better than many of their competitors. Coached by that fast J. Stenke, the Dragons proved that they were the fastest Dragons around.
