Four years ago, from the Smoky City of Pittsburgh, Rich came to Farragut. Becoming quickly acquainted with his fellow cadets, he began to progress rapidly. Being an expert rifleman, Rich placed second in the Hearst Trophy, and he has won three rifle team letters. Rich excelled greatly in his Senior year by achieving the rank of Ensign, and training one of the best pla- toons in the Battalion. By the way, he's the fellow who plays The Big Brass Bass Horn in all the parades and drills. He is also an important member of the dance band. ln his spare time you'll usually find Jim working his ham rig or batting the breeze with Chief Hewitt, about cars, boats or mainly and most important, women. Jim's not going to college, he's going to join the Navy and see the world. Along with the Navy Jim intends to see a lot more of a certain girl by the name of Ann Caulville. Ann and Jim have been going together tor a year and a half now. So to Jim and his bride-to-be we say, Good luck and may you have a great future.

Danny first came to Farragut in the fall of 1948 when he entered the Junior School. He lives in St. Petersburg and thereby gives much joy to the female population. Danny has been outstanding in both scholastic and extra-curricular fields. ln four short years he has gone from eighth grade to Senior class. He has been consistent in keeping his grades in the upper portion of the class and has proved his ability as an officer by holding down the job of platoon leader. We will all miss Danny next year, but we wish him the best of luck with his future schooling. He wants to be a veterinarian and hopes to go to the University of Pennsylvania. He should go a long way as he likes working with animals.
