GOVERNMENT INSPECTION This year, as in previous years, our school had to undergo a rigid inspection by a Board of Naval Officers sent down by Bureau of Naval Personnel to inspect all Honor Naval Schools in the country. The Board was met at the south gate by an Honor Guard composed of the Farragut Mates. After inspecting the Guard, they were piped aboard with Side Boys. They began their inspection by going through all quarters and visiting all classrooms. At the completion of classes, the Corps went to their Naval Science assignments. After giving all these classes and special proiects a very careful going over, the Inspecting party met the Faculty in the Lounge and then proceeded to eat lunch while the dance orchestra played very enioyable dinner music. At 1400 the Corps turned out in full dress uniform for a parade. The Farragut Mates staged an impressive exhibition before Adiutant's Call was sounded. Upon the completion of a smart drill which consisted of a Formal Inspection, followed by Special Ceremonial Parade and Butts Manual, the activities began at the water front. Quickly changing uniform, the Cadets moved to their assigned activities at the boat docks. At l5OO the Inspecting Officers took their leave through the Side Boys and out to the west gate to the Honor Guard. The Senior Officer of the Board stopped at this point to commend the Farragut Mates for the fine showing they had mode. This ended another year's inspection in which Farragut again won the rating of United States Honor Naval School. -wfu..i. ,.3 '
