Reserves' Spirit Carries Them to Victory Sophomores the underdogs? Never, according to JV Basketball Coach Maleske whose team was determined to prove this statement false. A tremendous amount of team spirit and a fine coaching job, aided Spartan cagers in cap- turing a three-way tie with Pontiac Northern and Waterford for first place in the standings. Although the Spartans were often competing against experienced opponents the fine hustle of the eager sophomores made the season a success- ful one. The team's ability to work hard and score when necessary made a victory possible.
