Agatha Christie's suspense thriller inspired many a shrill vibration from the female members of the audience, what with the con- tinuous activities of the mysterious Mr. Owen. The play had a surprise ending even for the cast, as the directors did not allow the cast to see the end- ing until the last weeks of the rehearsals.
