Many found that racing to the mall at Hawthorn for lunch proved to be both an adventure and a chal- lenge. Their consistently good scores on the ACT and SAT confirmed that Stevenson is still on top. JUNIORS V4 o, “In spite of the cost of living, it’s still popular.” — Kathleen Norris Fur second Home- coming victory in a row was the talk of this year’s special events. The Varsi- ty Patriots pounded Zion-Benton 35-19. Plays and concerts provided year- round entertainment, displaying the diverse talents of numerous individuals. Countless friendships and fond memories resulted from spirited participation in group activities this year. Among the most popular of events was, of course, the foreign language picnic. Seldom is there a day when nothing is going on. a CLUBS 4 “The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step.’ — Chinese Proverb JS tevenson has never seen a group quite as spirited as the Class of ’87. They won Homecoming’s Class Color Day, again, for the fourth year in a row. Having college entrance exams, admissions applications, term papers, and “senioritis behind them, they were more than prepared to start anew after taking the final steps to graduate at Ravinia in June. aq SENIORS lUo r rom lecturing, giving quizzes tests, grading papers, running out of red ink, writing tardy discipline referrals, holding their tempers, to even — sometimes — smiling, the Stevenson faculty has once again proved their worth. This excellent school is what it is today because of their continued dedication.
