Art Department Something new has been added this year in the Art Department, and that is the Art Club. It was started in order to raise funds for more and better equipment for the students. And, with the selling of things such as bulletin boards, stationary, and even Tootsie-Roll Pops, they were quite successful. Miss S. Campbell, (Chairman) Mr. C. MacHamer Business Education If Mr. Cotterman can ever find an adding machine or a type- writer when he needs one, the Business education department runs quite smoothly. We were all sad at the loss of Mr. Han- son here—and everybody must miss his fantastic jokes. But there was also a new member added to the department, Mrs. Williams. Mrs. A. Miller, Mr. R. Jackson, Mr. M. Cotterman, Mrs. M. Williams, Mr. D. Hanson (on sabbatical) 17

After all, they are the ones who have to risk their lives with the eager future race car drivers who want to get their license. It's not real- ly all that bad, but then again, why did Mr. Habley decide to teach solely P.E. ? Driver’s Education Mr. George Griffith (Dept. Chairman), Mr. Terry Spurlock English Department The English department regrettably (to the upper- classmen, anyway!) lost two teachers to the Fresh- man Studies program this year, but also there was a new addition, Mr. Granner. He also direct- ed the Fall Play, and did quite a good job! All in all it appears that the English Department has a pretty good time trying to get through to some of the students. Mrs. Dorothy Hain, Mr. Elmer Waldschmidt (Dept. Chairman), Mr. Robert Granner, Mrs. Ann Chilcott. Mr. Roland Habanek, Mr. William Gallagher, Miss Mary Francis
