SPRING The Symphonic Band presented its annual Spring Concert on May 16th. The Band performed the three musical selections for which it received a superior rating at the state band contest, as well as several more recent works. In addition, the newly-formed Jazz Band played such hits as “Hay Burner,” “Cherry Street,” and “Bugaloo.”

CONCERT The choral and instrumental divisions of the music department worked together again this year to per- form the annual Christmas Concert. CONCERTS For the first time, Stevenson’s Choral Department presented its own Spring Concert, entitled “A Night Worth Note”. In addition to the performances of the A Cappella Choir and Girls’ Concert Choir, the Madrigals also sang various numbers. The Madrigals had just returned from the state Choral Contest with superior ratings, and treated the audience to a few of their prize- winning renditions. A Cappella — minus their robes!
