A delicious dinner was served followed by a short program as follows: Toastmistress ..................,...............,..,.,..,.................. Marguerite Ickis Welcome to the Seniors ,.....,,........,......,..,.,..,,..,...,...,,. Lewis Harrison Extemporaneous Speeches--William Murdock, John Mullen, Mar- garet Smith, Howard Rothfuss. Election of Officers-President, Secretary, Treasurer. Following the program everyone hastened to the High School Gym where the remainder of the evening was spent in dancing and card playing. Junior- enior Banquet The annual Junior-Senior Banquet was held Friday evening, May 10, in the dining room of the Methodist Church. The decorations consisted of the colors of both classes. Following a delicious dinner, a program of toasts was given with Ray- mond Crawford acting as toastmaster. At nine o'clock, everyone went to the H. S. Auditorium where a general good time was enjoyed by all. Ninety Club Banquet The initial annual banquet of the honorary society, Ninety Club, was held on Thursday evening, April 17, at the home of Nancy Shearer. Following a delicious three course dinner the initiation of Sophomore members took place. They were taken through three degrees at the completion of which each received a club pin pre- sented by the president, Anna Mae Sloan. At seven o'clock the football squad and the guests proceeded to the dining room which was decorated with the High School colors. Fol- lowing the dinner Principal C. B. Shields acted as toastmaster and the following pro- gram was carried out: Good Sportsmanship .... ..,,, Coach Hannahs Play the Game Fair .. Y,Y,.,, .. .. ,..,..,Y.,le.,,ee,, Dr. E. D. Kackley A Toast to the Mothers ....7,,7 . .. .... .. .. v,.Y7,Ve ...VV R . B. Harrison Speeches were also given by the Senior members of the squad and by Mr. Mullen, Mr. Walker and Mr. Roshon. Hobo Party On December 11, while the football squad was having their banquet at the M. E. Church, the High School girls had a Hobo Party in the High School Auditor- ium. The girls went in couples dressed as many different types of persons, mostly as toughs and hoboes. The evening was spent in playing games and dancing. Refreshments were plentiful, consisting of sandwiches, pickles, peanuts, mints and ice cream suckers. The chaperons were Misses Georgia McCaskey and Nancy Thompson. High School Party A contest which was held for the sale of Lyceum tickets resulted in a party given by the Freshman room A and the Sophomores on January 26. These two groups lost in the sale of tickets and were obliged to entertain the other classes of the High School. This they did and an enjoyable time was had by all. The evening was spent in stunts and games, terminating with a delicious lunch being served by the hosts. Lycea ewiew On November 16, a Lyceum Review was presented under the direction of the Senior Class. The entertainment was designed to give an idea of the various num- bers to be seen and heard during the year. The program was as follows: Manhattan Marionettes: Mary Marty, Luella Kugler, Irene Horanzo and Mary Virginia Tyrell. Filipino Quartet: Raymond Mullen, Llewellyn Beynon, Rollie Wishard and John Hall. Ned Woodman, Cartoonist: Rollie Wishard. Henri Boyd Concert Trio: Lewis Harrison, Nancy Shearer and Lois Beveridge.
