Because of his size he is handicapped for defense but his scrap makes him an effective and valu- able player to any squad. He is a fair shot but gets nervous under the basket. Russ has one more year to play and two for- ward berths will be opened by graduation. w 4 David Fox--Guard Dave is a Senior and played his first year of basketball. When under the basket and unable to pass out or dribble he would wrap those long arms around the ball and there jump ball. Although not much of a shot he fed the others. Dave rather liked rough going. Frank Hargrave-Center Here is a tall, lanky boy not so speedy but very steady. Frank gave Rucker a bat- tle for center. He worked well in the first line defense being extremely hard to shoot over or draw out of position. Rather slow in shooting but he made an average number of shots. We shall expect much from Frank next year. Alec Truacalosln-Center and Forward Alec, a good sized boy, not noted for speed but for dependablity and a good method. He always played the same game regardless of the score. Alec doesn't drib- ble much but passes a great deal. Like some others on the squad he hated to shoot for fear of missing. Everybody misses. in-1 in 1.-in-1 vgniuini It 1 li vi I3 -1 1 li 1:1101-liniuiuixxii11010:QUQUQUQQ Joe Black-Forward Hobby was always ready to step in and do his bit. He was kept in the reserves mostly but was used enough to gain valu- able experience for next season. Hobby is a Freshman who won a varsity letter and deserves much credit. A gain in weight and height this summer would aid him greatly. 0:01014111rjoxuiojoioiuioiwricljojrlinioioiarjoiwlicbifiidvi pojoioiojojojqlic101014v1o:1n1njojo11r1o11rioj1v:1x1o::x:ci14nioj4

He was light but his speed and fight over-balanced his weight. Of course he had his off days but on the average, he played good ball. His favorite shot was from the middle of the floor and he made many of them. He will be missed by next year's team. Lewis Harrison-Forward Lew was a cool headed player and was high scorer for the team. He was fast at breaking for the basket, taking a shot or passing to a team mate. Lew was an ac- curate dribbler and passer as well as a good team player. He acted as floor lead- er in most of the games and will be missed next year. Victor Rucker-Center Not an outstanding player but steady and dependable. The boys liked to have him in the line-up and there was always something lacking when he was out. Vic' was good in blocking passes into the cen- ter and in breaking up dribbles. Another year will show improvement in Rucker's playing. Jonathon Moreland-Guard Here is one of the fastest men on the basket ball floor. His offensive work made him very valuable to the team. Johnny was especially good at dribbling and pass- ing besides ranking high in scoring. He has two more years and will probably be- come one of the greatest players ever turned out by Adena. 1 ni Iisliuiuiulnlinifliulukuiuli James Moacrip-Guard Jim was the best guard we had under the basket. His long arms often blocked a would-be shot and knocked down many a dribble. Jim was a better defensive man than he was offensive but he fitted in well with team play. He worked with More- land to make up one of the best pairs of guards in this section. fin'irll:Iimvinlilrlmlirlinvixvimliili vilioiui
