He not only led the football team through a fair season but turned out one of 'thy best basketball teams in the history of the school. Chet was great for clean sports and discouraged rough talk among the boys on and off the field. He taught his squad to play the game for the love of playing it and stood for ns nonscnce on the part of an individuel. W'e admire him not onlv as a coach bu as a min. The Sen- iors Wish him the best of luck next year. Manager Crawford Ray was the handy man about the place this year. He was faithful to every play- er's need during football but in basketball season he developed a habit of not being around when the players wanted him. Nevertheless he did a lot of hard work and made a very good manager. He fully de- serves the letter awarded for his services. LLEWELLYN BEYNON Halfback Give l'e:1n an open tielil and watch him run' away from his opponents. He was the fastest man on the teilm and naturally made 'x good safety man. He was a good pass receiver .zrnl also a fair blocker, What he lacked in weghi he made up in speed and nerve. Manager Walker Here is a boy who believes that business is business but is just as much fun as the next one. Barney filled out all schedules and signed all contracts as well as taking charge of all athletic funds. He handled the money in such a way that we not only payed off our debt but made money the same year. He deserves a great deal of credit. Manager Shields Beardo was our trainer and manager combined. He was indirectly responsible for our victories by keeping the boys in the best of condition and good humor. It was largely through his efforts that we were able to pay off our debt by keeping the equipment in tip top shape. We are proud of Manager Beardo. ioioinizriniuioqbuininivli111111-1111211301-vioifrxircouit1101173-ri-nioio:9.,1..gq,3.,14,1 ! ! U U l u l a ! 5 F F F ! ! ! ! ! E I l l i I ! ! 1 !
