Three years ago a group of girls and boys entered Adena High School as Freshmen. That year was very successful, with a few hard tasks to be overcome. We were well represented in both basketball and football. The following September we found that some of our companions did not return, and that there were some new ones added to our class. The Sophomore year was as successful as the preceding one had been. The tasks which were set before us were somewhat more difficult. We were sad and discouraged when we learned that Superintendent Den- nis was leaving us, but before long under the supervision of Mr. Roshon everything was moving quite smoothly, and the year ended, as the pre- ceding one had, with examinations and lots of excitement. The fall of 1928 saw our return to dear old A. H. S. as Juniors. We felt the responsibility of our new position to be quite heavy. Our class was well represented in athletics, both boys and girls played a large part in making the teams a success. We do not boastfully, but earnestly and truthfully say that our class has greatly aided in estab- lishing a widely known reputation for Adena High in all phases of athletics. Next year we wish to reach the summit of the hill of High School education. We will never cease to do our best for A. H. S. and thus we will be faithful to that worthy motto, Give to the world the best that you have, and the best will come back to you. We Wish to use our mis- takes and hardships as stepping stones and in this way establish the highest honor for our class.
