Senior l s isto We, the class of twenty-nine, boarded our ship early in 1925 and set sail on the deep, blue sea. We sailed into the harbor of Adena on September 6. We then, thirty-six in number, marched proudly up to the High School building. Lo! When we beheld our upper classmen, we almost vanished from sight. They called us Freshies and of course we thought that it must be something horrible but later learned that it meant merely Greenies, So we patiently bore our burden. Before the close of our first year some of our group went back to sail the waters alone. The following spring we departed with bright anticipations for the coming September when we should again return to port. A few brief months passed and we sailed into the haven of Adena. We anchored our ship and made haste to our class room. We were now Sophomores. A few more of our throng had gone out to face the world. But one whom we know as Anna Mae joined our happy throng to remain with us the rest of our career. We studied hard and when spring came we departed for the second time. We returned the following September very proud to be called Juniors because we felt that we were upper classmen. Our number was again diminished but two joined us from other schools, Stella Swann and Genevieve Lewis by name, who have remained with us. Before the close of the year our number was very small, but we managed to cling together. We sailed out of the port in May only to return for the last time in September. This time we considered ourselves too dignified to sail in a ship upon the sea. We therefore had a specially built airship to bring us to Adena. When we arrived at our class room we found three new mem- bers who joined us. We can better appreciate them by remembering their names as Mary Krecella, Anna Sawko and Patrick Sawko. These three new members made our enrollment come up to twenty. We have conquered many hardships during our four years jour- ney and are now ready to bid farewell to our classmates and Adena.
