preside at Winnie Tanges has been president of her class for two years. Dark-haired, dark-eyed, vivacious Winnie gives with a warm smile and big hello to everyone. Vice-president Aphrodite (she prefers Aphy) Santos commutes via the L. I. R. R. and hates every minute of it. Her dreams of travel would be met more exactly by the Century or the Queen Elizabeth. Elaine Austin struggles with the minutes as secretary of the class. All her dreams center around a home in the mountains and an M.D. degree. Blonde Jane Johnson, treasurer of the class of '50, is a typical college co-ed down to the knitting bag. Peek in and you'll see ar- gyles—of course!  The class with the talent. That’s the unofficial label of the Sophomore class. Their entrance into Adelphi was marked by an unprecedented wave of enthusiasm which will undoubtedly carry them through their next few years at college. They are very much in evidence at all college functions and have displayed a seemingly endless winning streak in inter-class competition.

With an understandable prejudice we can say that the class of '49 is really in there! With Supermouse as their mascot, this class has been one of super” Adelphians. This year the Junior Prom is one of the highlights of the spring season and Oracle, put out by the class, is . . . well!
