Adelphi is affiliated with' the best hospitals in the Long Island area and it is here that the student nurses receive their practical training. Our product has been endorsed by doctors! I Hiitlienmtivjt Differential Calculus and Analytic Geometry may be Greek to us, but to the students turned out by Dr. Baravalle and Co. the whole thing is easy as pie. Mathematics is taught here with an eye to prac- ticality. With our future lying in the direction of a scientific world, Dr. Baravalle gives his students a good background for further math study or for study in other scientific fields. « W ekolH'lfl Come in-and have your brain waves tested any time. Adelphi has a progressive Psychology Department with the accent on clinical labs. With all the up-to- date psychological equipment and techniques, Adel- phi students will be able to forge ahead in the study of the human animal. Freud, Jung and Adler are no longer just names to our students; their works can be discussed intelligently and with understanding by any product of the Psych Department.

4 H xiaesA' Business Ad majors who graduate from Adelphi can be anything from retailers or merchandisers to typists or stenographers. Dr. Walter Savage has taken on a huge responsibility with a greatly en- larged department. He has done the job with ease and can boast about the good results. We’ve no- ticed, too, that the business majors dress more neatly than any other group on campus. Lome wnmiM » At Adelphi Home Ec is attacked from a practical viewpoint rather than from the frilly white apron department. Despite catcalls from embarrassed males it cannot be denied that there is always a demand for good wives. Adelphi’s Home Economics department meets the demand extremely well. Die- ticians, food executives, and fashion designers all start out in our Heme Economics Department.

Biology helps the students to know the facts about flowers, heredity and a frog's construction. Almost any day students of Dr. Murphy and her assistants can be seen diligently counting arteries or tracing the course of the blood through the body. cliemii'tn » If you really want to know what little girls are made of—and are prepared to toss aside the well-known nursery rhyme—just take a course in chemistry and you will be introduced to the basic compositions of not only little girls, but a host of other things. Dr. Ellis and her department make chain reactions seem easy; even atoms and the smashing of them, taught theoretically, of course, are never boring.
