R I s , i 4 1 Junior Class FIRST ROW: Mrs. Patton, Martha Bagent, Joan Durant, Belva Taylor, Arlene Morrow. SECOND ROW: Clare Smith, Clarice Matchett, Mary Hatfield, Lorena Fitch, Alice Bollinger. THIRD ROW: Herb Robinson, Jim Wisecarver, Dale Adams, Roy Smlnaker, Dalton King , Paul R obinson. Junior History On Septernber 4, 1949 twenty-four eager Freshmen entered Adamsville High School. After initation we settled down to work, During the year two new members joined our class, Bob Hivnor and Bob Conant but later Bob Conant moved to Zanesville. During our Sophomore year we lost four members: Judy McCarty, who now goes to Rosecrans: Lowell Morrow, who goes to Cambridge High Schoolg Ralph Vansickle, who is now engaged in farming: and Roger Hittle, who is employed by Stanley Home Products. We also gained a member, Lorena Fitch, who came from Grover Cleveland. That year we held an Amateur contest and collected tax stamps as a project for making money. We were also proud to have four boys participating in basketball. When we Came back for our Junior year we found We had lost five members: Carolyn Vernon, who is now Mrs. Kenneth Albritteng Charles Green, who is now married to Eunice Handles from Dresden: Bob Hivnor, moved to Newark and Marilyn Perkins moved to Roscoe. Ralph Stalnaker is now farming. We also have two new members, Belva Taylor and James Wisecarver from Otsego. On December 7, 1951 we presented our class play, He Couldn't Marry Five. The highlight of our Junior year was the Junior and Senior Banquet. Clarice Matchett f

Sophomore Class FlRST ROW: Mr, Philips, Mary Powellson, Garnet LAPD, Helen Powellson, Lola Sigrist, Barbara Matchcftt. SECOND ROW: Philip Mozena, Bernard Geyer, Bernard Bissett, Dick Sprankle, Ronald ltleyers, Paul Brosie, Rollin Wisecarver. THIRD ROW: Mildred Hittle, Verna White-, Carole Darner, Hr-len King, Dorothy Grant. FOURTH ROW:Ralph Jennings, James Siddle, Rodney McNiesh, James Hatfield, Louis King, Ronald Sarbaugh. On September 5, 1950, twenty seven happy and enthusiastic Freshmen entered their first year of high school. The first big event of the year was initiation, in which every one survived. Our class chose class officers for the Freshman year as follows, Richard Jordan, president, Verna White, Vice-president, Delores Headley, secretary, Bernard Geyer, treasurer, and Carole Darner and Phillip Mozena as student council members. In the Freshmen we found we had two new members, Delores Headley, from Grover Cleveland and Paul Brosie from Dresden. When the class assembled this year, it found it had lost some Of its members. Mary Hoffer now goes to Dresden, Delores Headley goes to South Zanesville, and Charles Fouts moved to Akron, Ohio. Tragedy hit our class during the summer, by the death of our classmate, Dale Littick. Although the class had lost four members, it had gained one new member, Barbara Matchett, who came from Otsego. Class officers for this year areg Phillip Mozena, president, Rodney lNlcN.eish, secretary, Dorothy Grant, treasurer, Verna White and Phillip Mozena, student council members. A big event ofthe year was the all-school party in which our class participated. This year the Sophomore class had the Thanksgiving program. ln our class several boys are taking part in basketballg they are Ronnie Sarbaugh, Jim Hatfield, Phillip Mozena, Paul Brosie, Louis King, Rodney McNeish, Bernard Geyer, and Rollin Wisecarver. Bernard Bissett and Ronald Myers are basketball managers. Two of the girls are varsity cheerleadersg Verna White and Mildred Hittle. Helen King
