i l FPOUCQ FUN October brought that traditional event, Fall Frolics, to the Adamson stage. Dads and teachers combined to stage a new event for 'Big A,' the Miss America Pageant of 1965. The audience was astonished at the undiscovered talent displayed by such stars as jenkins, Johnston, Shanks, and Hoffman. Newly crowned Miss America beams happily at the audience. at Miss Hawaii, Fluffy Frills Jenkins, entranced everyone with her hula. Georgia Peach Shanks sang for her tal ent. 1962 Miss America waves to her audience. 1 Miss Heidi Seal Hoff- mann, Miss Alaska, be- Mr. Robert Pegram, M,C., presides over crowning of Miss America. gif1S her Walk dOWH the cysts run-way.

SEPIEMBEPJ BPJOUG!-H' AND PEP ASSEMBLIES TO BIS A jimmy Brown and Don Semler holcl the new Adamson banner as Mr, Meek presents it to the school. Hi, out there in Leop- ardvillef' says student speaker, Margaret Sage. 1965-66 Varsity Football team was announced at the first pep assembly held on Sept. 10. Mr, Hoffman, faculty speaker for the Longview assembly, gave a few encouraging words to the student body and football team before the game. 24 Our first victory assembly of the year proved to be an exciting event, as the cheerleaders led the student body in a few yells.

Students- purchased first edition of the Acorn, Oct. 15, Janis Pe-gram painted a store win- dow for Halloween weekend. Q Cheerleaders awaited entrance of the Leopard team.
