OCTUBER ll7:2ll- As a welcome mat to exes, the Student Council sponsored Homecoming Week. A huge success, many graduates returned for the assembly and dance, which climaxed the Week's activities. The Golden Debs, Adamson style, were a humorous addition to the pep assembly. -Z5 As a gesture of sportsmanship, the SOC c spirit by leading a few yells. heerleaders sampled the Leopard Other than these events, an enthusiastic assembly marked the Homecoming fes- tivities. The cheerleaders and Leopardette Leaders performed and the Court was announced with Judy Philbrick as Homecoming Queen.

SEPTEMBER 7 - I The first The first day of school. The summer was over for all of us. The beginning of school meant football games, new friends, and homework! 16 - Marked the first out-of-town game. This year it was Longview. The Leopards did well against the previous State champions, 6 to 6 tie. event sponsored by the Student Council during the '60-'61 term was Howdy Week. All new students voted for the most friendly boy and girl. MISS HOWDY Judy Philbrick MR. HOWDY David Clark I6 Mr. and Miss Howdy welcome new students to Adamson.

OQTUBER 7 -.. The PTA and faculty sponsored the annual Fall Frolics here at Adamson. Students, families, and friends were invited to come and spend an evening of fun. Everyone had a big time and the fall frolics were a huge success. Supper was served in the lunch room starting at five-thirty and several side shows were going until the main show at eight o'clock. The Leopardettes went into business for themselves with the Blue Leopard Coffee House. A beatnik atmosphere was created in the armory and poetry was read. Business was bombing at the Duckin' Pond between the school and the boys' gym. Mr. Ligon was the sitting duck! I8 The National Thespians sponsored a musical pan- tomime side show in the film room.
