AND AUGUST WARM DAYS AND COLORFUL SUR- ROUNDINGS THAT ONLY SUMMER POSSESSES INSPIRES -VARIOUS ACTIV- ITIES. Why do they call this a slumber party, no one is sleeping ? QUEEN OF SHEBA and ASSISTANT The annual Leopardette slumber party was the climax to summer practice. The twirling team worked each Tuesday night on half time routines for the coming football season. The Blue Band also practiced once a Week during- the summer months. The result? A good band! READY I ? .-

THE Summer meant the opportunity to enjoy nature and the fun of being out of doors The sun lovers are Toby Waldie and Tommy Foster who is the brother of Hercules UD l Summer is also a chance for that needed vacation. Not all of us were lucky enough to go to Disneyland as Norma Murray did, but a change of surroundings can make a big difference! SEPTEMBER 7 - I The first The first day of school. The summer was over for all of us. The beginning of school meant football games, new friends, and homework! 16 - Marked the first out-of-town game. This year it was Longview. The Leopards did well against the previous State champions, 6 to 6 tie. event sponsored by the Student Council during the '60-'61 term was Howdy Week. All new students voted for the most friendly boy and girl. MISS HOWDY Judy Philbrick MR. HOWDY David Clark I6 Mr. and Miss Howdy welcome new students to Adamson.
