EKU? - APRHL The National Honor Society initiated fifty-three new members on the assembly. 1 T The coaches presented an assembly in honor of all the athletes at Adamson. Each one was recognized and some presented their letter jackets. 21 1 The down town branch of the library came to the school and conducted a book fair for the seniors. The purpose of the event was to acquaint them with young adult reading. The library was set up as a carnival and each assistant conducted a different type of review. The seniors learned many new things about adult reading. Many learned to appreciate books.

25 P After a month of hard practice, Miss Hedde and The National Thespians presented their version of Queen for a Day. Madaline Parrish, who wanted votes, was elected Queen. 25 1 The Student Council sponsored Twirp Week from March 23 to 27. The week featured a different activity for each day of the week and was climaxed by the Sadie Hawkins Dance on Friday night. TWlRP WEEK WlNNERS Mr. Loud Sport Shirt, Kenny Persons, most medals Mr. Medals and Awards, Tommy Powers, loudest and awards, Jill Grabbe, and Grover Vines, Mr. Neck blouse, Jeanne Williams, and Buddy Brister Q? ? ?J. The Girl From Outer Space was pre- sented by the Seniors as their play in the school auditorium. Judy Summers played the lead. Well, she's sure not one of us. No, no, put down that gun. Jimmy Runnels acts as principal. Tardy cards are given by Yvonne Harris, Secretary of the Student Council. Student Day is held at Adamson each year to test the student's leadership abilities. A student teacher is selected to teach each class. Assistant principal, Don Taylor.
