MENS BASKETBALL The Adams State basketball team came through the 1937 season with the best record of any team in the history of the College. Playing teams ot their own collegiate standing Within the state, the men won three games and lost one. On a barnstorming trip through New Mexico, the Adams State team drop- ped tive games to the more powerful teams in the New Mexico conference. By winning the district A. A. U. Tournament, Adams State won the right to enter the National A. A. U. Tournament in Denver where they were elimi- nated by the West Texas Teachers, the tallest team in the world. PHYSICAL EDUCATION FOR WCDMEN Physical Education for Women in Adams State Teachers College is planned to be a practical subject for those who plan to teach. It consists of rhythm games, dances, posture training, and sports, including volleyball, basketball, tennis, archery, and baseball. Students from the qyrn classes prepared several dances which they pre- sented at assembly programs. Spring activities included baseball and tennis tournaments. Page 50
