John Smith leaves his ability to get things done in study hall, such as shoveling walks and going to the Journal office, to Bill Fairchild. Gary Hallett leaves his sly way with the women (especially Mrs. Otis) to Eddy Burns. Bruce Whitehead leaves one pair of elevated shoes to Fred Miner and Bob Snyder. Fight over them, boys!!! Sharon Sherman leaves her naturally curly hair to Randy Smith. John Burns leaves his job as chief pin setter at the bowling alley to his brother, Tommy. Gary Barr leaves his way with the women to Bill Smith. Nancy Thomas leaves her gym suit to Harold Gamble. Lynda Snyder leaves her “buck tooth smile” to Betty Wilson. Donald Smithers leaves one pair of levis to Frog Taylor. Jim Edwards leaves his stylish German walk to Shirley Groves. Sally Burnash leaves her knowledge of the lonely hearted to Toni O’dette. Sarah Burns leaves her Southern giggle to the one and only “Doc” Gordon. Linda Holley leaves her ability to go steady and one of her “steady sweaters” to Sue Kanaley. Judy Richmond leaves her wonderful Latin and French memories to Barb Cushing. Yvonne Beckstead leaves her strict diet record to Don Holman. Dorothy Nowak leaves her good study habits and quiet ways to Teri Larkin. Carole Lantier leaves 3 dozen eggs and one summer full of fun packed rides on a tractor to Kathy Belloff. Eddy Woodward leaves his wild and chaotic weekends of perilous pas- sion for the unknown to Patty Overton. Pete Jones leaves his 3 and 2 tenths seconds record to the only guy in this school worthy of such an honor. Our favorite Frank Crast. Duff Hamilton leaves his great achievement of getting along so well with Coach to Flossie Plantz. Judy Sischo leaves her extreme voice range to Roselyn Rusho. Tom Waite leaves one can of stale com plus the clean-up job at the bakery to “Colonel White.” Bill Berry leaves his garrison belt and hob nailed ramble boots to Ken Wratten. Charlene Bangs leaves one pound of “gray matter” to the Junior Class.

Class Prophecy Dear Mr. Scholtz: I just read the Jefferson County Journal and was amazed at the re- sults of that crazy class of ’62. We noticed that the police had raided the Andy Bates establish- ment and uncovered a distilling ring. We were shocked to see that Andy and his gang, Don Smithers and Wayne Dealing were caught. We are sorry to hear that Worth was annexed by Lorraine. We noticed that some of the conspirators were of our class. We are es- pecially proud of General Yvonne Beckstead, Captain Dorothy Nowak and their Mountain Girls. We saw an advertisement for lonely men on the back page. Please congratulate Nancy Thomas, Sally Burnash and Donna Fyderek for founding the first lonely hearts club in Adams. Also congratulations to Linda Holley on making the Olympic Weight Lifting Team. We read that Gary Hallett has now trained his dogs to clean the game that he shoots. So Duffy Hamilton is now coach of his own team. Although they haven’t won any games, we’re sure that he’ll help the girls develop. We noticed that Ed Remington bought the rest of Dobbins’s junk yard. Ken Conway, John Smith, and Ronnie Sanford have declared Spring Street a drag strip for their own personal use. Well, I see that Professor Charlene Bangs has won a Pulitzer Prize for her book on love. Bill Berry and John Burns have revolutionized bowling by short- ening the alleys, doing away with nine of the pins and adding three more shots. 22
