Other members were Alexandria Bay, Brownville, Clayton, Pulaski and Sackets Harbor. Coach Scholtz formed a light but efficient football machine from twelve lettermen and some new material. ln the first game of the season, played with Adams Center, Adams showed its strength by winning 20 to 6. The following Saturday the team journeyed to Sackets Harbor where it was defeated. However, since Sackets had three in- eligible men, they were forced by the Frontier League Council to forfeit the game to Adams l to 0. The following week Clayton came to Adams all set to win, but when the game ended Adams was on top with a score of 13 to 7. Brownville and Adams fought a real battle of wits and brawn on the football field the following Saturday. The game ended with a 6 to 6 tie. The teams were evenly matched. In the last two league games Adams met defeat from Alexandria Bay and from Pulaski. With winning four games, losing two, and tying one, the team enjoyed a very successful season and was at the top of the league until the very last game. To see who would have second place in the Frontier league, Adams played Pulaski at Adams. The heaviest team played against the lightest team in the league. The field was a sea of mud and the air very cold. As a result, Adams was defeated by a large score. Lettermen are as follows: Capt. W. Saxton, R. Rhodes, K. Weal, R. Sinclair, Hughes, L. flIcCabe, F. Sischo, C. Turnbull, and N. Whitfcmrdg VVm. Rice, Rlgr.
