TO THE LEADER OF THE BAND . . Mr. Daily Charles Daily was born in Ponca City, Oklahoma. In 1957 he graduated from Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma, with a B.A. in Music Education. In 1961, he studied at Northwestern State College in Alva, Oklahoma, to further his education and he also studied at C.U. in 1967 and 1968. He is currently going to the C.U. Extension Center. Mr. Daily taught one year in Kansas and five years in Medford, Oklahoma, where his marching band received a first place award at the Tri-State Music Festival. Mr. Daily started in School District 514 in 1964. His first year at Adams City was spent working with elementary students and assisting Mr. Peterson. His second ye ar he took over the band completely and also started to build the Stage Band program. Mr. Daily now teaches the elementary schools and devotes the rest of his time to the high school bands. He has to be quite an outstanding band leader because every band that has gone to a festival or contest has always come back with first and second place ratings, which means he has taught one of the top bands in the state. Mr. Daily and his wife, Marilyn, were married in 1956. They now have three daughters: joy, 155 Joni, 133 and Kim, 12. His hobbies include music, of course, and he's a real sports nut. To you, Mr. Daily, we give our thanks and appreciation and a rating of VERY SUPERIOR! I4
