THE E GLE SALUTE MRS. RUBY MILLER . QYAIG HEAD OF THE DEPARTMENT OF GIRLS PHYSICAL EDUCATION Mrs. Ruby Miller cametoAdams City High School in September of 1956. Since her arrival at the Eagle Camp Mrs.Miller has been responsible for build- ing one of the most outstanding girls physical education programs in the state of Colorado. Her Girls Athletic Association is one ofthe largest in the area and other schools look to her programs at Adams City as a pattern for their programs. It is with a great deal of pleasure that we salute Mrs. Ruby Miller as an outstanding teacher and leader at Adams City. Mrs Miller be an teaching in 1938 at the Iowa State School for Deaf. - S The last three years at this school she was the girls basketball coach. One year her team was the Iowa State Champions and rimners-up the other two years. She has also taught in Elko, Nevada and Richland, Vifashington. She has taught five years in high schools in Oregon. Mrs. Miller graduated from Iowa State Teachers with a B.S. degree. She has done extended graduate work at Columbia University, New York City, and at Oregon University. Mrs. Miller was raised in Fostoria, Iowa. She and her husband were married in 1952 in Reno, Nevada. Before accepting a teaching position at Adams City Mrs. Miller was the Director of Health Education for two and one-half years at the Denver Y. W.C.A. Congratulations, once again, to Mrs. Ruby Miller for an outstanding job done at Adams City and may her program continue to grow with the high excellence it has in the past as our school continues to grow.
