1 Between classes and after assemblies the halls become jammed. Mr. Frantz often acts as patrolman. for freshman Up to Date Fads Life at Adams Central is similar to that of other schools. At basketball sectional time ask them who is going to win. “Central, who else!” At the end of the semester, books are carried home even if they haven’t been all year; throughout the community a small light burns in each house far into the night. In keeping with the fads, all the boys have a pair of ivy-league trousers with an ivy-league shirt and a flat-top or crew-cut to match. Boot shoes and the “blouson look” keep the girls in the running. The lunch line, crowded halls, and clusters of kids are everyday oc¬ currences at Central. Freshman, Junior Isch lugs senior books to classes on initiation day. 4
