VARSITY TEAM The Greyhounds began the season under a new coach, Howard Brandyberry, who had greal hopes of making a ball club of these boys as he had at previous schools. Of the boys who went out for basketball only Charles Hoff- man had experience on last year ' s varsity. The coach de- pended on him a great deal. Charles was the winner of the free throw trophy given by the coach. The team fought hard but had bad luck, winning only four of the scheduled eighteen games. Bob Mitchell, a tall junior, was center on the varsity and will be a credit to the team next year. He was the winner of the rebound trophy also given by the coa h. Another senior on the sguad who had some previou: ex- perience was Gerald Nussbaum, who was also a very good rebounder. Duke Hendricks was a dependable reserve although his chances of playing were limited. The members of the team that will be back next year are Doyle Arnold, Enos Schrock, Roe Lehman, Roger Longen- berger and David Nussbaum. Here ' s hoping next year ' s Greyhounds have a glorious and successful season. Page Eleven
