Students look ahead College and Career Day is a time for juniors and seniors to talk to college re- presentatives and professional people about the different aspects of campus life and the business world. The representatives discussed with juniors and seniors what each college has to offer. Professional people from around the county assisted students in their decisions. For example, representatives from Westlake Cumberland Hospital were present to discuss the medical profession. Junior George Caldwell said, “I enjoyed talking to UK and Western repre- sentatives.” He also learned about the programs each college has to offer. Junior William Grider talked with representa- tives from Campbellsville College. They invited William to come meet the teach- ers and look around the campus. Many colleges sent representatives to help inform students about what lies ahead. The colleges represented ranged from Midway, an all girl school, to Western Kentucky University, a large co- ed university. During the day students were able to talk to people such as Richard Lee Walker, a real estate agent, and Henry Giles, a writer.
