SENIOR CLASS HISTORY As we come to the close of our high school days we realize that we are stepping out and others are taking our places at A.C.H.S. Looking back over the past three years we feel joy and sorrow at the same time. We have had a very prosperous and active school life. On a bright sunny day in August of 1963 we entered our first year of high school. Our class officers for that first year were: President - -Carol Dunbar, Secretary--Nancy Williams, Treasurer--Wallace Feese. Linda Hughes was our Sophomore Cheerleader. We had several boys on the basketball team: James Mack Willis, Dennis Smith. Larry Marshall, Charles Curry, and Mike Lamberth. On the baseball team were: Dickie Feese and Charles Curry. Larry Mar- shall won the golf trophy. Miss Sophomore was Jean Gibson and Mr. Sophomore was Larry Marshall. Margaret Glowacki and Sheila Spickard were our sophomore band majorettes. Sheila Spickard won the District Dairy 4-H Championship. The Sophomore class sold maga- zines to raise money for the prom held during our Junior year. Linda Hughes was our highest seller. During our Junior year the class officers were: President--Carol Dunbar, Vice--President --Wallace Feese, Secretary--Nancy Williams, and Treasurer--Linda Hughes. Miss A.C.H.S. was Linda Hughes. Miss Junior was Jean Gibson and Mr. Junior was Larry Marshall. Margaret Glowacki was our Junior cheerleader. Our basketball players were: James Willis, Dennis Smith. Mike Lamberth, and James Otis Bradshaw. Our baseball players were: Dickie Feese and Charles Curry. We had four girls to go to Ky- Girls' State Margaret Bault. Betty Phelps. Margaret Glowacki. and Sheila Spickard. Sheila Spickard was Sr. District 4-H Champion. It was our privilege to present the Seniors with the Junior-Senior Prom. In the Misty Moonlight . Jimmy Flowers was elected State Beta Vice-President at the 1964 Beta Convention. Larry Marshall, David Walker, and Jimmy Flowers went to Centre for preparatory work- We are coming to the close of our last and most exciting year, our Senior Year! Our Sen- ior class officers are: President--Jimmy Flowers. Vice-President--Jimmy Sexton, Secretary- Sheila Spickard, and Treasurer--Margaret Bault. Our Senior cheerleader is Margaret Glowacki. Our senior basketball players are: Charles Curry. James Willis. Dennis Smith, and Bill Austin. The Smoke Signal Editor is Sheila Spickard. Miss A.C.H.S. is Sheila Spickard and Mr. A.C. H.S. is Wendell McQueary. Sheila Spickard was State 4-H Showmanship Winner. Margaret Newton was District 4-H Secretary. Wayne Lee won the FFA Courier-Journal award. Sheila Spickard is Sr. District 4-H Dairy Champion. Our Senior Dmm Majorette is Margaret Glowacki. Sheila Spickard is a majorette. Sheila Spickard is competing for the Senate Youth Program to go to Washington. Larry Rogers won the showmanship award at the Mid-South Fair in Memphis. The Adair FFA Cattle Judging Team won first place at the Mid-South Fair in Memphis. Wayne Lee. Eric Thomas, and Larry Rogers, alternate, who are seniors, participated on the Judging Team. As we prepare for graduation we wish to express our appreciation to all who have helped us in our days of high school. We will ever cherish these three years at A.C. H.S. as some of the happiest days of our lives.
