French Club French II officers are: Vice President Mark Klingenberger, President Barb Kain, Secretary Jane Stobbe, Treasurer Dennis Tressel. French I officers are: Treasurer Bobbi Stambaugh, President John Rodgers, Secretary Judy Crowe, Vice President David Wirt. The members of the Ada High French Club further their knowledge and understanding of French life and French people at their monthly meetings. At these meetings, held during the class session, members give reports and hold discussions on such items as French history, literature, music and art. During the year, the members sell fudge at the basketball and football games. The funds from these sales are used for the purchase of French paintings and literature for the classroom, and also for the annual French banquet. French Club initiation was difficult and messy. Latin Club Latin Club initiated make-believe slaves. Latin Club officers are: First Consul Nancy Sonnett, Scriboquestor Barb Bowden, and Second Consul Mary Si-ferd. The members of the Latin Club at Ada High spend much of their time translating Caesar. They also talk about the Roman gods and goddesses and discuss the lives and customs of the Roman people. Near the end of the year the Latin students and their advisor enjoy the Latin banquet.
