When you round another corner in the course of your life you rather reluctantly close the record book on those experiences just passed. But you are amply compensated by the anticipation, inspiration, and challenge of things to come; those vast opportunities in the immediate and the remote future. Your new street can be wider, the ascent steeper, and the way straighter if you WILL it so. You, who leave high school by graduation or otherwise, must surely be aware of the great strides of progress in these Soaring Sixties and that the twenty-first century, now only forty years away, is rushing down upon you. Are you prepared to meet the complicities of life in the few decades allotted to you? Some how, in spite of all that one hears or reads about alleged inadequacies of young people, this writer has a sincere and unshakeable faith that you will come through in your time, that you will have lived your lives in a most creditable manner, and that you will have made vast contributions to society and the world. ‘rgMs 5

WORK AND FUN FILL A MEMORABLE YEAR Seventy seniors begin their final year at Ada High. This comment held all our hopes for a successful year. And a successful year it was--from the election of our officers, President TOM DEARTH, Vice-President ARCHIE RODGERS, Secretary MARLENE CLAPPER, and Treasurer TOM SHANKS, to that final day when seventy received their diplomas. Under the guidance of our advisors Mrs. Bozarth, Mr. Rex, and Mr. Ansley, we earned enough money to finance our senior trip to Wash- ington, D. C. With this as a goal, many class projects were undertaken --magazine sales in October, ARSENIC AND OLD LACE in November, and our very successful carnival in April. Seniors sparked the football team and the band, besides distinguishing themselves in many other activities. The value of our school years at Ada High School was made evident when our class placed seven of the top ten in Hardin County in the Senior Scholarship test. CLASS FLOWER Carnation As we move into a new phase of our lives, we will never forget the friends we have made, the good times we have had, and the knowledge we have gained.
