Class of GI ' September 6th the 1957-1958 Freshman class entered Ada High School and prepared to assume their duties as upperclassmen by electing their class officers. Chosen were Dean Simonson, Pres., Dale Simonson, V. Pres.g Diane Hanson, Treas.g Graydon Bell, Sec.g Sandra Weber, Student Council Representative. Our class colors were pink and black. One of our duties as upperclassmen was decorating the goalposts for Homecoming. Lots of us attended the Homecoming party and also the Sadie Hawkins party and had lots of fun at both. Our class party was held February lst in the grade school gym. Miss Riste and Mr. Torgerson acted as chaperones, and helped with the various games. Several mothers served a delicious lunch which was followed by dancing. This spring we plan to visit Fargo, taking in the various points of interest there, shopping and just having fun. Class of 6O A very important part in the composition ofthe school this year was the Sophomore class. Working togetheron the Homecoming bonfire, they produced a masterpiece which with- stood the wind and rain of the stormy night. The Sophs were called upon often during the year to partake in basketball, football, musical groups, and all of the other activities. This brought them under the category of full fledged members of our High School. Little needs to be said about their class trip at the end of the year or the fine job they did decorating for Baccalaureate. They were good examples in 58 and we're looking forward to greater things from them in the future. SOPHOMORE CLASS OFFICERS: Owen Viker, Sec., LaVern Woltjer, V. Class of 62 The eighth grade this year started with an enrollment of sixty students. We found our- selves very much at home in Ada High as school started and smiled as we viewed the seventh graders scurrying around, looking much like we must have looked last year. Thirteen from our class took part in A band, a number of the boys are taking part in athletics and the girls in GAA, so we have now found our place in the schools activities. We are planning on having two class parties during the year. These will be put on with the help of our advisors Miss Sonja Christianson and Mr. Earl Perkins.
