The season opened with the defeat of the Hendrum Huskies and closed with a vic- tory over the Fertile Falcons on homecoming day, October 31: thus Winning the conference football trophy. This is the first championship for the Vikings in the recently organized Wild Rice Valley conference. The homecoming game end- ed the football careers of five senior lettermen: Noel Haaland, Robert Wichern, Kenneth Lar- sen, Virgil Petting, and Art Olson. Not pictured: Ronald Baker, End.

The team got otf to a slow start but gained moment- um as the season progressed. When the season was over they had won l7 and lost 9.
