The 1 1 th annual POWDERPUFF GAME was played under warm October skies on October 16 at Colonial Field. The senior girls romped over the juniors by a score of 28-14. With the first 23 seconds of the game senior Kari Fleischmann with support by Sheryl Perry ran 80 yards to put the first score on the board. Sheryl Spratt, who was aided by blocker Karen Marshall scored the second senior touch down, followed by a 2 point carry also by Sheryl which tallied the halftime score at 14-0. The senior defense team also played a ma|or role in the victory. Superior plays were made by Jessica Spann, Lauren O ' Regan, Jill Wood, Lisa Briggs and Linda Macaulay. Spratt ' s third quarter TD and extra points were matched by junior Jenny Varno ' s. jenny also received another 8 points in the last quarter but with 1:43 left to play, Fleischmann again carried the ball over the goal line to secure the senior victory. Senior coaches were Mr. Madden and Mr. Nacke; junior coaches, Mr. Betourney and Mr. Frost. Keeping track of the action on the field were Mr. Bohac, Mr. Pappas, Mr. Yansak, and Dr. McNulty. Most valuable players were Seniors Sheryl Spratt and Sheryl Perry, and junior Jenny Varno.
