COMPETENCY Reading classes are set up in the seventh and eighth grades to provide student with reading disabilities the opportunity to im- prove their reading skills. The program is headed by Mr. Blanks and Ms. Rawls. A , 5 Mrs. Helen Holden teaches the Competency Program and aids students in learning the basic skills they will need in order to pass the competency test given to them during their Junior year in high school. This is the most important test a high school student will take in school. 68 Ms. Blanks work with Sherry Cruse and Ingrid Graham in Reading. y Mrs. Holden and Georgia Harrelson prepared tor the competency.
