NN Mr. and Mrs. McAdams enjoy a reception given in his honor. MR. MAC RETIRES EXCHANGE STUDENT Maria and Laura together as usual. Mr. John McAdams retired from Acme-Delco High School last year. He was involved in education from 1948 to 1981. Mr. Mac as he was known to students in his classes, was an asset to the teaching profession here at Delco. He was honored by a banquet given by the faculty members at the high school. He and his wife attended the banquet together. Mr. McAdams says he enjoyed his years of teaching and hopes that he was a help to humanity in education. Sorry for Ya! 'X Q. . AX. A y 1 i fi Q at .' m Q . A H, Maria Clara Mayr De Boise was our exchange student this year and a new friend to many of the students. She arrived at the home of Laura Croom on December 1 1 where she was welcomed by Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Croom and family. Fifteen years of age, Maria attended Grupo lntegrano Magdlens Kohn High School. She lived in Rio De Janeiro in Brasil. Maria's parents reside in Brasil where her father Roberto De Boise, worked as an economist, and a Business Administrator, and her mother, Heloise M. Mayr De Boise, taught Language and Student Orientation. Maria is the oldest of four sisters and one brother. She completed 5 years of English and 4 years of French. Her favorite past time in America is eating M 81 M's as well as playing volleyball, going to the beach, attending movies and plays. She states: I like being X1 with nice people like everyone here. 169
