C •v W v O God, My God, For Thee I Long at Break of Day . . Brilliant in the early eastern sky, the rising sun sheds its warmth and light on the beginning hour of the Church day. Reciting a solemn prayer for guidance and protection, the Church sends forth her own life-giving warmth through the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. We receive the fruits of this spiritual sun in the opening Mass at the beginning of the school year. Preparing us for the inspirational student vocation which is ours, the sunlight of grace floods our souls, carrying with it the supernatural light of truth and the spiritual warmth of love. Christian integration, like a delicate golden thread, binds together the various activities of the year. Its brilliance lights the way by which each one of us may gain a greater understanding of the way in which we are to fulfill our vocation. Step by step we strive to grow in truth and love throughout our high school years. As freshmen we are introduced into a new way of life, a new goal, and our course is set toward its achievement. As sophomores we are eager to continue our journey with teachers and classes to guide us. The junior year finds us advancing toward our goal with augmented social activities and new offices broadening our experience. As seniors we have reached a milestone which marks the completion of one sunlit road and the starting point of another. Through our annual Mother-Daughter Breakfast we pay tribute to our most beloved guide along the way, to our own mother, in whom we see reflected the beautiful virtues of the Mother of all men. In the May Crowning we express directly our reverence for the Queen of the World. Thus we advance through the activities of our school year under the early sun of the morning sky and under the warmth and light of Holy Mother Church.
