'ff' ,Mfg 53, ff, , ,- , 'fe 3 ff -mf zz W' K, if If t .gsm V. 4 V K 'frm big W, Q- , -t-,K AcademyfSpalding was honored this year to have as our retreat leader Father Paul Hadusek, a Benedictine monk from St. Pius X Abbey in Pevely, Missouri. Without his time and effort spent in preparing for this year's retreat, it could not have been as suc- cessful. Retreat lasted only one day instead of two as in the past. This year the juniors and sen- iors attended on Thursday, March l,'with the freshmen and sophomores attending on Fri- day, March l. The day started with a morning prayer ser- vice, an introduction from Fr. Pakl, and a conference entitled The Challenge of Jesus Christ. This was followed by homeroom dis- cussions and either a rap session or a slide presentation on the Stations of the Cross. Later in the morning there was a Mass cele- brated by Fr. Paul, lunch, and a meditation period. In the afternoon another conference was presented dealing with the challenge of the Church.
