A Candlelight Christmas -my ggi? i v V!' -Q, 'nillms4 J r 'r:f ft .ff This year's Christmas program started with the Mixed Chorus singing Have You Heard. The Academettes then took the stage and sang their versions of The Snow on the Ground and Rounde- lay Noel. The main part of the program consisted of the Mixed Chorus singing a folk contata of various songs celebrating the coming of Jesus. After this the Freshman-Sophomore Chorus, garbed in bright red and green elf outfits sang two cute selections called Mistletoe and Pablo the Reindeer. A short intermission followed which was highlighted by Christmas cookies and steaming hot chocolate served by the singers.Their selections included traditional Christmas carols in which the whole audience participated. An added delight was Teddi Delmastro's solo third chorus of O Little Town of Bethlehem. This special program, presented by the singing groups and the skillful direction of Sr. Ellen, provided an evening of enjoyment for all. During the holiday season the Singing Irish also performed at various functions, including singing at the Peoria Country Club. The Singing Irish and the pom pon squad participated in the Santa Claus parade. ,pq- 1013 B Top of page, Steve Delinski. Bill Bridge. Below right. juniors Jeff Polonus and Ann Bowton casually chat between dances. The theme for this year's Vice-Versa, a dance held January 6, at Bradleyis Stu- dent Center, was Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, too. As in previous years, the popular group Ayre provided gentle music for the dance. Their mellow sounds set the mood for the couples as they en- joyed one another's company. For the first time ever, a king and court were selected. Grant Leary reigned over his court which included senior attendant Mike Sheridan, junior attendant Tony Venegoni, sophomore attendant John Crowley, and freshman attendant Eddie George. Thus, the Vice-Versa was a memorable evening for the proud Acade- my girls and their lucky dates. if
