Lan uages Explore Finesse of Culture and peeeh Highlighting the English department this year was the expansion of the reading pro- grarn to include great Works of both classical and modern literature. Perfect grammar was again stressed as the sure sign of an educated person. The study of foreign languages was re- vitalized at the Academy with the help of our new language lab and the continuance of an audio-lingual program. The addition of a Spanish-born teacher to Spalding's faculty brought life to the language course there. Euenas aias, dice la hermana David Louise al class de espanal.
