Woodring, O,Brien, C. McCabe, M. Valta, M. Waldo, M. Sweeney IDE'EYED we approached the gates of the Academy last September. The warm welcome of the Faculty and the cheeriness of our big sisters soon dissipated our bewilderment, and we emerged courageously from the haze of Freshman Day, accepted members of the Notre Dame family. As true children We were heard as Well as seen in every corner. VVe enjoyed our part in the operetta, The Uutlaw King. VVe tried valiantly, though unsuccessfully this year, to win the Athletic plaque. But perhaps the dearest memory we shall have of our First year is the friendships we have formed which will endure, we hope, through life. VVe shall miss you, big sisters, next year, but we promise to try to imitate your dignity and your gracious spirit during our years at Notre Dame. wi
