Around the world rhe Blcsscd Virgin Mary ha s achieved honor and love under many different rôles. Man has benefited and will benefit from her intercessions under some of rhe es- pecially loved titles of Our Lady of the Snows, Our Lady of Fatima, Our Lady of Lourdes. Recognizing the great love due her as the Immaculate Conception, she has been designated as Patroness of the United States in view of this title. Through our years at the Academy, we, too, hâve grown to love her more intimately. As teen-age girls, we are learning to cope with some of the same hopes and joys, fears and crises that con- fronted her, though in a different manner, with an understanding and sympathy; with a tranquility anchor- ed in the Source of Truth and Joy. To you, Mar our Mother,—to you, our Modcl in seeking Truth and in finding Joy, we dedicate this vol¬ ume of The Academy, with our gratitude, love, and a prayer for true loyalry to you, always.
